Alfa Romeo unveiled its Tonale 2023 with an announcement of two different powertrains available. But now Alfa Romeo has decided to cancel plans for the non-hybrid 2.0-liter engine. Now it is confirmed that the 2023 Alfa Romeo Tonale will be offered exclusively with a plug-in hybrid powertrain.

It will compete against the BMW X1, the Mercedes-Benz GLA250, and the Volvo XC40.
