The Rivian R3 2027 is a compact electric crossover that blends retro-inspired styling with modern EV technology and everyday practicality. Built on Rivian's new midsize platform, the R3 will be available with single-motor, dual-motor AWD, and high-performance tri-motor configurations, giving buyers a variety of performance options.The large battery pack is expected to provide a driving range of more than 300 miles, while fast-charging capability allows for a 10% to 80% charge in about 30 minutes under ideal conditions. Designed for adventure and versatility, the R3 features a spacious cabin with fold-flat front and rear seats, a front trunk (Frank), dual glove boxes, advanced driver assistance technology, and Rivian’s signature rugged design. A performance-focused R3X variant is also planned, with Rivian targeting a 0-60 mph time of under 3 seconds for the top model. The R3 is expected to be Rivian’s most affordable and accessible EV when production begins.
