For 2022, Hyundai engineers have redesigned the Tucson. This model is available in 3 engine options: Combustion, Hybrid, and Plug-In Hybrid. The Tucson plug-In Hybrid has got upgraded features on both outside and inside. Hyundai offers Tucson Plug-In Hybrid 2022 in two trim levels; SEL and Limited. It carries a 1.6L Inline 4-cylinder Turbo engine that produces 180 @ 5500 rpm Horsepower and gives 195 @ 1500-4500 rpm Torque with gas engine while it produce 66.9kW (90 hp) @ 2,100-3,300 Horsepower and 224 lb.-ft. @ 2,100 Torque with electric motor. The engine is paired with a 6-speed automatic with SHIFTRONIC®, which boosts the performance of the engine. The Plug-In Hybrid trims of Tucson are more powerful and quicker than the nonhybrid ones. The EPA estimates that Plug-In Hybrid Limited delivers 35 mpg. Leather trimmed seats are only available in this trim level. The safety features that come in standard with Plug-In Hybrid Limited include Anti-lock Braking System with 4-wheel disc brakes, Electronic Stability Control with Traction Control System and Brake Assist, Tire Pressure Monitoring System with individual tire indicator, Forward Collision-Avoidance Assist with Pedestrian Detection and Cyclist/Junction Turning Detection, Blind-Spot Collision-Avoidance Assist, Highway Driving Assist, and Lane Departure Warning.
