The Lotus Type 135 was originally conceived as an all-electric, lightweight sports car and the spiritual successor to the Elise. Preliminary specifications pointed to a 66.4 kWh battery, a rear-mounted electric motor producing approximately 469 hp, a lightweight LEVA architecture, and a low-slung, two-seat layout designed for exceptional agility. The platform was also engineered to support a dual-motor AWD setup generating up to 872 hp, featuring a 99.6 kWh battery and 800V fast-charging technology.
