Silverado EV is an all-new, all-electric model in the Chevrolet lineup, expected to come at the end of 2023 as a 2024 model. Its strong competitors are the Ford F-150 Lightning, the Rivian R1T, and the Tesla Cyber truck. Chevrolet will offer Silverado EV in 6 trim levels, including WT, LT, LTZ, Trail Boss, High Country, and RST. Brand said that the price-leader Work Truck (WT), off-road Trail Boss, and loaded RST trims will be offered under the Silverado EV lineup at the time of launch. The mid-range trims will be added later to round out the lineup. It will be powered by two electric motors, which will drive their power from a battery pack as large as 200-kWh. One motor drives the front wheels while the other drives the rear wheels making it an all-wheel-drive vehicle. The brand revealed that the top trims of Silverado EV will give 660 hp and produce 780 lb.-ft. torque. The base trim is said to provide 510 hp, but it is not confirmed yet. Some safety features are revealed, including Front pedestrian braking, automatic emergency braking, Forward collision alert, Intellibeam® high beam assist, and following distance indicator. That’s all we know about Silverado EV. We have to wait until its official launch to know all the remaining features. The expected starting price of Silverado EV LTZ will be 75000$.
